17 Train Stations Targeted to Be Integrated with Transjakarta

Jakarta Transportation Dept. along with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) have a plan to integrate 17 train stations with Transjakarta. The plan is currently still being finalized.

According to Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept., 17 train stations will be integrated with Transjakarta soon.

Park and Ride Under Flyover Connected with Train Station

He mentions those train stations are from Depok Baru, Pasar Minggu, Duren Kalibata, Cawang, Tebet, Manggarai, Sudirman, Jatinegara, Karet, Tanah Abang, Palmerah, Kebayoran, Juanda, Cikini, Jakarta Kota, Grogol and Klender.

"We've homework from BPTJ to review 17 points of stations that can be integrated with Tansjakarta," he expressed, at City Hall, Tuesday (8/1).

Thus far, there have been several stations integrated with Transjakarta such as Tebet, Palmerah, Manggarai and Tanah Abang, despite it is not yet perfect. "Especially for Tebet, has started to show good progress," he exclaimed.

He also asks PT KAI to borrow their land as a parking lot for Transjakarta bus.

"We're ready to prepare the feeder bus," he stressed.
